M2 on my Ford van e250 1997

hi,

i discover Macchina M2 and i m very exciting to use it like all people who are in this forum

I m newbie and my first question was : Is it working on my Ford e250 series 1997 ?
I read the FAQ, and the answer could be β€œyes” but i wonder if you, guys, experiment already on the same car than me

Thanks for your help

Your van is most likely J1850 PWM. So yes, the Macchina hardware supports it.

But I dont know if anyone has worked on/experimented with J1850 PWM software yet…

I am planning on working on the J1850 protocols but depends on how well the hardware I recently bought works out and how long it takes for me to understand the hardware. Hopefully the hardware I have here will do all of the protocols and if true then I will be looking to get all of the protocols working with this. So yes as long as your truck has ODBII support it SHOULD work. Eventually

hi,

Thanks for your answer. How to order a dev kit ? i like one for the famous van and another for my ford ranger 2015.

Question : Is it possible to control the automatic transmission from my ranger 2015 ?

Thanks for your help.
Very best regards.

I would guess you will have to wait for the general sale of the device.

With this device you can monitor pretty much anything. It can mimic pretty much anything so whatever you can learn you can duplicate. When dealing with devices that constantly provide a status you can not remove that status but can try to flood the data stream with the data you want to use and hope that it works. Generally not a good plan for a running vehicle. You are probably looking to change the programming for your vehicle and that goes well beyond the scope of anything currently being done at least that has been advertised so far.
