Hello, I’m a young driver with experience in C# and C++ with small amounts of C and assembly knowledge. I’m very interested in ‘car hacking’ ethical obviously.

As I am a young driver, my car is equip with a telematics box which is plugged directly into my obd2. I was wondering if there is a way to perform a MITM to see what the black box is reading from the can bus.

Any help I’d appreciate. I’m not even sure if I’ve posted in the right place. /:

Sure, it all depends on what type of vehicle you have. You can install a ODBII Y cable which will let you monitor what is going on or you can also use other configurations that intercept traffic from both directions to allow you to see what is being sent where.
