I found another project using an Arduino to act as a injector.
it is physically setup as a proxy between the LIN master and the slave
Seems to work for me

I also will try to contact the bmw authorities department to ser what the costs are for a lin master.

Any updates on this project?
I built a similar project on a previous bike using a tiny85 , it would control the indicators and depending on how long it was pressed would flash 5, 20 or continuous. Same of contorolling the lights and horn.
So now with a lin bus bike I’ also want to understand the switch outputs , although I would use custom analogue switches, rather than just intercepting the signal.
